Materials

The Pela Case is made of Flaxstic®, which is comprised of compostable bioplastic elastomer and flax straw materials. Our material has been tested to be safe and free of phthalates, BPA, cadmium and lead and is verified to meet child safety standards in the U.S., Canada, Europe, Australia and New Zealand.

Our base material meets U.S. (ASTM D6400-04) and E.U. (EN 13432) standards for composting in an industrial composting facility and has a lower carbon footprint and lower greenhouse gas emissions than traditional plastic. It can also be left to compost in a home composting environment.

Meticulously designed to protect your phone from drops and scratches as well as any traditional plastic case. Precision cuts around speakers, charger, volume and power buttons.

Turtle case
I love it. It fits well and it’s very cute. I like how Pela takes plastic and garbage and are able to recreate it into something. I chose Pela because it’s both eco-friendly and their motive is to reduce the amount of garbage on the planet.

Great Case
I recently got the iPhone 13 mini and I wanted a case that was sustainable and didn’t produce a bunch of waste like my past phone cases. I did some research after seeing some of Pela’s ads. I’m glad I chose them! The cases are no more expensive than other brands like wildflower or casetify and unlike those brands they are compostable! The shipping was quick and my case was sent out within 24 hours of placing my order ! 5 stars!

Very Cute!
All around it is a very cute case. It is not extremely hard but it feels like it will protect my phone nicely. My MagSafe charger still somewhat works through the back of this without the add on, so that is also a plus. The case has a lip over the edge of your phone screen that acts a buffer as well.
